Sensors are a tattletale on package tampering

The Sea-Cure monitoring system from Powers International Inc., Belmont, N.C., uses multiple proprietary sensors and RFID to detect, record, and transmit the time and date of an unauthorized breach into a sealed container. A special chokepoint reporting system uses a secure Internet connection and gives the carrier, shipper, consignee, or appropriate government agency the shipment's whereabouts.
