New Products: Automatic Machine Axis Measurement

KinematicsOpt software for the iTNC 530 contouring control, is coupled with a touch probe and mounted into a CNC machine spindle for increased accuracy.

Once the measurement resolution and area of each rotary axis is defined, a calibration ball begins probing. The iTNC 530 calculates the statistical tilting accuracy from measured values, the software minimizes the spatial error arising from the tilting movements. The machine geometry is then saved in the machine constants.
