CosmosMotion simulation software lets users apply nonlinear springs and dampers, such as those on automobile shock absorbers.

Mapping functions give engineers a broader palette of ready-to-use mechanism setups for analyzing real problems. An import feature lets SolidWorks user do a first-pass motion analysis using SolidWorks Physical simulation tools, then more advanced motion testing in CosmosMotion. Other features compare results for different simulations, and a flexible joint lets multiple hinges share loads equally for moreconsistent results.
