Liquid-crystal polymer that warps little

A liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) called Zenite ZE55201 BK010, features reduced anisotropic shrinkage so parts warp little. Flow-direction shrinkage is reportedly similar to that of typical 30% glass-reinforced LCPs, but crossflow shrinkage is more than 50% less. This lets designers build thinner and smaller electronic connectors, chip sockets, and interposers. The LCP is reinforced with 50% glass and mineral and comes in black. Mechanical properties and flow are in the same range as other highly filled LCPs.
