Improved Clamp Design For Pumpheads

March 23, 2000

Printer-friendly version

313D Speedyload pumpheads from Watson-Marlow Bredel Inc., Wilmington, Mass., feature redesigned clamps for improved tube holding and greater clearance to load tubing. Loading requires sliding the track open to expose the rotor, placing the tubing over the rotor, and sliding the track down. As the track shuts, the tubing is clamped and stretched. Options include three or four rollers, fixed or variable tube clamps, or private-labeled versions. Seven standard tube sizes provide flow ranges from 0.25 to 3,000 ml/min and pressures to 30 psi. OEM-style gearmotors and speed controls are available in ac, dc, or stepper versions. The self-priming pumps have no valves and can run dry without damage.
