Building Miniature Engine

Hello, I'm currently building (carving) a 350 Chevy engine out of wood... I know, I know,,, a nice fire waiting to happen hahaha Anyway, if you are finished laughing now... and are interested to find out what happens when a nutjob pulls the pin on a wooden hand grenade using roofing nails for valves... perhaps you could enlighten me on something... I realize that your engines are scaled replicas and are worth every nickle what you put into each of them... after watching the videos, I am inspired, truly... but, suppose a guy just wanted to have a scaled replica on display...and it didn't need to actually run... and this thing could be built for under 100 bucks,,, kinda like the "visible V8" models we played with as kids... maybe bolt a 1.5v DC starter on the side of it so it could be cranked... ...and say this guy (an out of work carpenter) wanted to sell these things for around 200 or 250 bucks each... do you think the market would support the effort? ...one idea I had was a possible science project kit for kids to learn about engines maybe, like they used to do with the model kit clubs back in the 70's... ...anyway, I got the blueprints all done and the thing is scaled to about 1/4 actual size I guess... it's got 1 5/8" pistons, and a 1 5/16" stroke... putting it all at about 21.7 CID. Its about 7" wide with the heads installed and about 9" long with the timing gears and flywheel.... I'll send you a pic when its finished... ...so, I realize the market is tight for this hobby stuff... I'm just wondering if less price and more common builds might be the way to indulge my hobby... everybody loves the 350 smallblock... and 200 - 300 bucks for a "build it yourself" kit aint that hard to shake loose for a neat Christmas present or something.... your thoughts on that would be appreciated. ...of course you know I will eventually build one that has steel sleeves and aluminum pistons, just to see if I can make one actually run hahaha ...Totally amazed and inspired by your work though... ...BRAVO! ...now the production of a mold and casting aluminum blocks has my attention, see, you have already corrupted me... I was just going to build a nice dust collector for my wife to be annoyed with, but, now,...
