Engineering Handbook In Excel

April 13, 2006

Stephen J. Mraz

The engineering handbook Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain has been computerized to run in Excel.

Printer-friendly version

The engineering handbook Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain has been computerized to run in Excel. The software follows the book's organization of formulas, by chapter, table, and case. The software lets users open an application in Excel, load models, put in values, and solve. A Superposition wizard handles multiple load calculations on beams and plates. These features and others let users quickly decide whether it's necessary to run the numbers through FEA programs.
