Composite Air Tank

The fiber-reinforced-thermoplastic composite air tank is designed for use in over-the-road Class 8 trucks and trailers.

The tank is constructed of thermoplastic resin matrices that form a pressure vessel that can be hammered without stress-crack propagation. The impact-resistant tank is 20 to 30% lighter than its metallic counterpart.
