Ball Bearings

November 15, 2002

Printer-friendly version

Ball bearings have three classes: radial, thrust, and angular contact. Angular-contact bearings combine radial and thrust loads, and are used where precise shaft location is needed. Uses of the other two types are described by their names: radial bearings for radial loads and thrust bearings for thrust loads.
