Wireless Headgear for 3D-Immersive Experiences

Feb. 17, 2005
3D Navigator headgear is a wireless interface between computers and humans.

The eyeglasslike device lets users move through models without 3Dvisualization systems such as Caves or the hindrance of cables. It is portable and has no line-of-sight interference. High-performance 6-DOF tracking provides accurate real-time pointing and navigating with quick set up and ease of use. Measurement stability comes with metal-detection and noise-reduction tools that ensure environmental factors do not affect tracking. No permanent installation of overhead grids or cameras is required. Advanced dc magnetic technology overcomes the occlusion problems of optical and inertial/acoustic technologies.
