PresencePLUS P4 GEO 1.3 vision sensors perform 360° rotation, fixture-free inspections with 1.3-megapixel image resolution.
PresencePLUS P4 GEO 1.3 vision sensors perform 360° rotation, fixture-free inspections with 1.3-megapixel image resolution. The whole setup, the company claims, costs less than half of comparable solutions and fits in the palm of your hand. Depending on the lens used, the imager captures details of multiple features at ranges from a few inches to several feet. As a result, one sensor can perform an inspection that used to require several devices. Its ability to detect subtle differences in target features is intended for industries that make defect-free products such as automotive, packaging, pharmaceutical, assembly, metal forming, semiconductor manufacturing, and plastics.
The instrument is available with two lens positions: in-line (on the end of the housing) and right angle (on the side of the housing). Both versions measure only 66.8-mm (2.63-in.) wide; the inline model is 136.1-mm (5.36-in.) long and the right-angle model is 124.5-mm (4.90-in.) long. The mounting brackets make it easy to attach the sensor to machines or conveyors. The unit's three bicolor LED indicators clearly show unit status during setup and operation. It operates on 24 Vdc. The manufacturer also offers specialized lighting and C-mount-lensing options.
