Valve-Manifold Modules

Nov. 17, 2005
New XV modules let users add valve manifolds from Buerkart, Festo, Bosch Rexroth, Norgren, SMC, and other manufacturers to a network with minimal configuration effort.

Connections are made directly using a 25-pin connector. A compact D-Sub housing provides up to 24 digital outputs for 24 pneumatic valves. The compact solution lets users integrate pneumatic control directly in an automation system with considerable savings. Valve manufacturers typically charge a premium for connections to other fieldbus systems. X20/X67 bus controllers allow for fieldbuses such as CANopen, DeviceNet, ProfiBus, and Ethernet Powerlink for many possible applications.
