Ultrasonic level sensor

Nov. 3, 2005
The U3M ultrasonic "Mini Probe" level sensor has a 4 to 6-in. operating range and extends 2 in. above the tank or drum surface.

The device's PVC housing allows for a 40 to 60°C operating temperature range which rises to 125°C with an optional CPVC or Kynar housing. Microprocessor-based circuitry provides a temperature-compensated signal for accuracy and filters false echoes produced by peripheral obstructions.

Calibration is through onboard pushbuttons. The U3M has a self-cleaning sensor face and automatically adjusts power and sensitivity to its environment. The Mini Probe works in a variety of liquids including foods, beverages, chemicals, oils, water, and slurries, as well as some solids.
