Thermoplastic Servocoupling

Aug. 24, 2006
The Servomax TX1 Series of molded thermoplastic insert couplings features low mass and moment of inertia plus good resistance to chemicals and heat.

This makes the couplings suited for pump drive and servo applications. They also tend to cost less than metal couplings. An elastomeric element press fit between two precision molded coupling halves gives zero backlash and guaranteed concentricity. A choice of several elastomers lets users tailor damping to the application. Torque capacities range from 2 to 660 Nm and bore diameters from 8 to 45 mm and 0.375 to 1.75 in. Shaft mounting is with a keyway and set screw.
