Self-Venting Coupling

Oct. 7, 2004
The self-venting, quick-release Bi-Tec Series coupling comes in a wide variety of materials, sizes, and configurations.

Self-venting coupling

The unit consists of a sliding valve and quick-lock mechanism that is pressureless; simply press the connector into the coupling. Pressure is built up by pushing the blue sliding valve forward. Once in this position, it is impossible to interrupt the connection. The venting process begins when the sliding sleeve is moved into its home position. The connector can be removed by actuating the unlocking sleeve. The couplings, available in industry-standard sizes, can be manufactured in aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and steel, with various plating and sealing options.
