Self-Clinching Pressbearings

May 11, 2006
Two new series of self-clinching pressbearings feature Teflon-filled acetal or oil-impregnated sintered bronze bearings.

The 7Z40 and 7Z43 Series are self-lubricating and selfaligning and mount 0.40 or 0.060-in.-thick metal in punched or drilled panel holes. The sintered-bronze 7Z40 bearings have a 0.126 to 0.501-in. ID and come in heights from 0.315 to 0.670 in. They handle radial loads from 65 to 600 lb, speeds from 5,100 to 20,000 rpm, and operating temperatures from 20 to 200°F.

The Teflon-filled acetal 7Z43 Series bearings have a 0.189 to 0.501-in. ID and come in heights from 0.250 to 0.705 in. They handle radial loads from 28 to 320 lb, speeds from 3,300 to 13,000 rpm, and operating temperatures from 40 to 180°F.
