Put CAD models in motion

Oct. 6, 2005
Simulator is animation software that runs inside Solid-Works.

Motion of components in a mechanism is simulated with Simulator, which runs inside of SolidWorks.

It lets users change the values of distance and angular mates. Motion can be constant velocity, accelerating, intermittent, or reversing. Users can view graphs of velocity and distance versus time. They can rotate the screen about an axis or zoom in on a component as it moves during simulation. Users can also change configurations, letting them see a part or a mechanism in different stages.
