Product Spotlight: Three-Phase Power-Measurement Module

June 5, 2008
The 750-493 three-phase power-measurement I/O module is compatible with 16 different fieldbus networks, including Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, and DeviceNet, and the 300+ digital, analog, and special function modules found in the company’s system.

The module contains six channels, three of which are dedicated to voltage input and three to current input. 1-A and 5-A variations are available to support standard current transformer signal levels. The module directly measures voltage, current, energy consumption, and power factor (cosf) to calculate effective power and track energyconsumption rates.

Four status LEDs indicate undervoltage conditions for each of the three phases, as well as module status. The unit uses Cage Clamp wiring technology for maintenance-free wiring and WSB-Markers for individually labeling termination points.
