Gradually adding adhesive to the tank hopper also stabilizes the heat in the system for cleaner operation. The system integrates into, and is compatible with, most adhesive-application equipment. The inlet cover fits directly on the hotmelt unit’s adhesive tank hopper.
The self-contained system operates on 20 cfm at 50 psi and automatically draws and transfers adhesive to the tank hopper when the level falls to a preset minimum. Adhesive is drawn through a suction wand immersed in the adhesive bin and delivered under positive pressure to the tank hopper. A vibrator on the wand keeps the adhesive flowing freely. A capacitive sensor immersed in the tank hopper senses when the adhesive level is low and responds by transmitting a signal to draw adhesive through the wand and transfer it to the hopper. The sensor shuts off the flow when the tank hopper is full.
The system feeds a hot-melt unit up to 22 ft vertically and 100 ft horizontally.
