The Model 1000 pressure switch from American Sensor Technologies Inc., Landing, N.J., works with gases and liquids, and is rugged enough to work in industrial, hydraulic, off-road, and agricultural applications, according to the company.

The Model 1000 pressure switch from American Sensor Technologies Inc., Landing, N.J., works with gases and liquids, and is rugged enough to work in industrial, hydraulic, off-road, and agricultural applications, according to the company. The compact switch uses a one-piece diaphragm with no internal O-rings, welds, or fill fluids. This eliminates contamination. Heavy-duty electrical contacts provide electrical isolation up to 500-Vdc, and the units offer 110 V/m of RFI/EMI shielding. The sensors operate in temperatures from 40 to 185°F (40 to 85 °C). Switching capability is rated at 1 A at 24 Vdc or 0.5 A at 125 Vac. Output can be open or closed and is based on the customer's defined switch point. With low currents, the switches have a life of 2 million pressure cycles. Units can be made with pressure ranges up to 10,000 psi.
