New Resins Offer Soft-Touch Or Rubberlike Properties

Nov. 9, 2006
OnFlex-S Series of styrenic-block copolymers (SBCs) are for soft-touch over-molding applications.

They bond to PC, ABS, nylon, and alloy substrates used in a range of consumer goods. They retain elastomeric performance over a wide temperature range, come in 10 to 90 Shore-A hardness, and easily color. OnFlex-V Series of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) provide rubberlike performance, low compression set, high operating temperatures (up to 135°C), improved chemical resistance, excellent colorability, and little odor. They can be used in automotive weather seals and interior trim, building and construction flooring, expansion joints, consumer sports equipment, and household appliances.
