New Products: CAM Software

Aug. 21, 2008
Surfcam Velocity 4 reportedly improves three-axis finishing and four and five-axis machining by controlling loads on the tool.

It is said to increase productivity and extend tool life for materials such as aluminum and steel, but is particularly advantageous for titanium, Inconel, and other exotics. Other features include faster processing, better surface finish, and improved feed rates versus previous versions, along with support for standard tools with collision checking.
