New Product: Flexible couplings

Nov. 21, 2007
Flexible couplings serve as the weak link in drive systems.

The couplings are precision machined from steel or stainless steel with a thermally and chemically stable, wear-resistant, polyurethane insert press fit between the two hubs for zero backlash. This helps compensate for lateral, angular, and axial shaft misalignment. To eliminate arcing from one hub to another, the insert is graphite impregnated, giving it electrically conductive properties. Nine sizes are available in torques from 2 to 2,150 Nm (17 to 19,000 lb-in.) and in metric and English bore diameters ranging from 3 to 80 mm, with or without keyways.
