A smooth-bodied, hygienic design lets the new Asepticplus gearmotor meet the IP69K rating for high-pressure, high-temperature wash-down conditions found in the food-processing industry

A smooth-bodied, hygienic design lets the new Asepticplus gearmotor meet the IP69K rating for high-pressure, high-temperature wash-down conditions found in the food-processing industry. The hygienic design means the motor has a smooth surface without recesses for thorough and efficient cleaning. There is no place for bacteria or contaminants to hide. Plus, the TENV (totally enclosed nonventilated) motor prevents contaminants from being spread by airflow.

The DAS motor is integrally mounted with SEW gear units to credrive ate the Asepticplus gearmotor. Many components are stainless steel, including the blanking plugs, breather valves, screw plugs, and output shafts. Special coatings and sealants along with a three-layer epoxy paint that is heat cured after every layer, EPDM rings, and double sealing with FKM on the output side adds to the protection. Output shaft options include solid or hollow shaft with key or an innovative TorqLoc system.
