Bosch Automation Technology, Racine, Wis.

Bosch Automation Technology, Racine, Wis., now offers the VTS 02 valve support system with integral programmable logic control (PLC). It links PLC functions in a decentralized fieldbus station with direct connection to pneumatic valves, enabling quick and transparent control. The station is IP 65 protection rated and is suited for working under rough conditions.

The system connects up to 16 mono or bistable pneumatic valves and up to 12 I/O modules. A new 5/2 dual valve integrates the functions of two conventional 10-mm valves into one 18-mm valve. Diagnostic messages for the inputs are accumulated and displayed for each I/O module and output messages are displayed individually.

New VTSconfig software enables users of the VTS 02 valve support system to quickly configure a system. The graphically supported software helps users select components and offers assistance with the various electrical connections, I/O modules, and valves for the valve block.
