Long-Fiber Materials

Oct. 20, 2005
The 2200 Series Long Fiber product line with Victrex PEEK improves impact strength over short-fiber PEEK materials, making them ideal for metal-replacement applications.

The long fibers mechanically interlock which reduces warpage and shrinkage and absorbs higher stress levels. The 30% glass-filled compounds more than double the impact strength of short-fiber versions. Benefits include improved long-term creep and fatigue resistance, better dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, weight reduction, increased throughput, part consolidation, reduction of secondary processing, and improved chemical resistance.
