KineticSystems Company recently announced the newest addition to its family of test and measurement modules for the PXI platform - the P580 Relay Multiplexer.

The P580 is a double-width 3U PXI module that provides 34 differential input channels multiplexed onto two independent analog paths. Up to 4 external instruments can be connected via one of the front panel's four LEMO connectors. The switching sequence is controlled via the module's plug-and-play drivers or scanner memory. Application examples are provided to demonstrate to the user the basic capabilities of the P580.

Built upon the success of KineticSystems' V580 Relay Multiplexer for the VXI platform, the P580 is ideal for data acquisition systems, laboratory automation, voltage monitoring, industrial process control, calibration systems, and ATE systems. In addition, the P580 is well suited as a companion module for the growing family of KineticSystems' PXI products as well as the high-performance digitizers provided by their sister company Gage Applied Technologies.

"We are known for our expertise in VXI and CAMAC data acquisition and control solutions for the aerospace, automotive, defense and research industries worldwide," said Patrick Cassady, Executive Vice President of KineticSystems. "In addition to these modules and systems, we continue to grow and provide innovative solutions to include PXI products that respond to our customers' evolving requirements. The P580 is another step in this direction, and its companionship with our other PXI products as well as Gage's digitizers demonstrates how our expanding product line really can respond to the diverse data acquisition needs of our customers."
