Handheld Vibration Meter

May 11, 2006
The Model VM-300 is a generalpurpose vibration-measuring instrument used for periodic vibration checks of industrial machinery.

A precision piezoelectric accelerometer incorporates a charge amplifier input stage for stability and minimizing errors. An integrated microcontroller operates under direction of a splashresistant seven-key membrane keypad. The unit measures velocity from 0.1 to 300 ips, displacement from 0.001 to 3 in., and acceleration from 0.1 to 300 g F.S. Operation is from a 7 to 12 Vdc power source or from internal batteries. The 7.5 X 4 X 2-in. unit is accurate to ±4% F.S. over a frequency response from 10 to 1,000 Hz.
