Fast-Curing Liquid Silicone

Jan. 26, 2006
The Keg2000 Series of liquid-injectionmolding silicone is FDA and USP Class VI compliant.

The silicones have hardnesses of 45 to 75 Shore A. The Series features dynamic viscosity. So under low-shear stress (during the pumping and shut-off stages of molding), the silicones have high viscosity. But under high shear stress (during injection), viscosity is low. This lets molders produce parts faster and with less flash. The silicone can be used with both open and closed-nozzle cold runner systems.
