    Makrolon polycarbonate sheets are reportedly as clear as glass, yet many times stronger.

    They are also said to be many times stronger than acrylic sheets, offering a margin of safety that no other clear glazing material can equal. Makrolon SL offers the impact protection of polycarbonate and the UV resistance of acrylic. Makrolon AR combines high-impact strength with abrasion and chemical resistance. Makrolon Hygard, a security glazing laminate, resists physical and ballistic attack.
