Controllers Detect Stalls Without Encoders

TMCM-303 and TMCM-310 threeaxis controllers are compact stepmotor controllers.

The TMCM-303 is a one to threeaxis-controller that has an output current of up to 1.5 A/phase and is capable of supporting 16 microstepping. It can be remote controlled by a host via CAN, RS-232, or RS-485 and has a builtin ramp generator for autonomous positioning and speed control as well as on-the-fly alteration of target motion parameters such as position, velocity and acceleration. Multilevel current control keeps the driver and motor cool. The TMCM-310 adds features such as an RS-232 level shifter, and two optional 12-bit ADC inputs (in addition to eight standard 10-bit ADC inputs).
