Polyethylene Protects Machined Features
Polynet, a low-density polyethylene, protects against damage to exterior surfaces of machined, polished, plated, coated, and threaded areas, especially during shipping.
It doesn't retain moisture and is said to be easy to apply and remove. Polynet is most commonly used during and after costly
in-house machining or processing to
protect value-added features during
shipment. It is available in rolls or can
be cut to size. There are also light and
heavy-weight versions and can be color
coded to help distinguish dimensional
sizes.
