Danfoss Power Solutions’ Editron EC-C1700B-420 electric converter has been honored as a Davidson Prize winner in the annual AE50 Awards program. Presented by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, this accolade shows the converter’s significance in the agricultural machinery sector.

The ASABE’s AE50 Awards program recognizes machines, systems, components, software and services that enhance agricultural operations.

Key features of the Editron EC-C1700B-420 include:

  • Developed for electric or hybrid drivetrains in mobile machinery, harbor cranes and marine vessels
  • Designed to withstand highly cyclical loads typical in heavy machinery with a robust construction
  • Suitable for voltage levels up to 1,200 VDC/690 VAC
  • Built with components capable of handling double the load cycles compared to standard industrial inverters
  • High-performance vector control precisely drives induction motors, permanent magnet motors and reluctance-assisted permanent magnet motors.
